The spacious rooms with comfortable beds each having their own bathroom were perfect for our family. The surrounding views were breathtaking and we loved exploring the nearby walks and attractions, like Hadrian's Wall. The hosts were friendly and welcoming, even providing delicious homemade shortbread. We definitely recommend this affordable and well-located cottage for a memorable stay.

The twin room could have been cleaner, especially under the bed for those with dust allergies.

I had a fantastic stay at Hillis Close Farm Cottage! It truly felt like a home away from home. The cottage was cozy and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was peaceful and surrounded by beautiful scenery. The hosts were friendly and even lit the fire for our arrival. They also provided thoughtful touches like fresh milk and eggs.

I do have to mention that the cooker in the cottage was quite old and dirty. It didn't match the cleanliness of the rest of the cottage.
